Dispensing Solutions Launches a National Drug Pedigree Program

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 27, 2006--Dispensing Solutions Inc. (DSI), The Leader in Repackaged Pharmaceuticals, today announced that in light of the FDA's growing concern regarding counterfeit drugs and the mandated implementation of such programs by Florida and California from all pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, Dispensing Solutions Inc. ("DSI") has launched a new Drug Pedigree Program.
"Our Drug Pedigree Program will be implemented nationally for all DSI product lines. A drug pedigree is a record of the ownership of the drug from the original manufacturer on down the supply chain," stated Dan Guinn, co-founder and head of regulatory affairs.

Guinn further commented, "Our new Drug Pedigree Program is an evolution to the pedigree tracking number that DSI has assigned to each and every bottle since July 1, 2005."

Effective July 1, 2006, DSI will include a "Certificate of Pedigree" with each shipment. This document will provide the original manufacturer's lot number and NDC for each item invoiced. In addition, we will include the supplier's name, invoice number and contact information that is specific to the medication received from DSI.
